I always use Sixt for my car hire. The cars are in excellent condition, the staff are helpful and the prices are very competitive.
Best customer service imaginable and the car was upgraded to a brand new model. If you read everything you sign up for and listen to everything you get told shouldn't have an issue..
I'm always super nervous hiring a car based on the stories from reviewers and the news articles etc. But I had a fantastic experience with Sixt in Piccadilly in Manchester. We had paid for the super insurance to fully cover the car which I would recommend to everyone. It makes everything less stressful on getting and returning the car. We dealt with Ken in Piccadilly who was great. Just a pleasant chat with him, there were no 'scare tactics' to get us to buy extra bits and pieces (again you read so much about that kind of stuff from rental companies) we just went in and got the keys. The car was perfect. Brand new and it was so nice I'm now struggling to drive my own car back home. All in all I am so relieved we had a brilliant experience with Sixt and I will be going back to them again in the future.
The staff are very good and always friendly, sixt and their policy as a company not good. You need to bring in a physical license which no other rentals require and have all sort of gotcha clauses not very flexible. They're the best for young drivers but as an older driver I avoid them.
Mr Kelly was dealing with customers when I arrived to collect the van. He was also training a new staff member and managed to work in a very professional manner. I was made to feel valued as a customer and given full advice and information. Another staff member escorted me to the van parking area, all in all a very smooth process. On returning the van Mr Kelly was on duty again and he asked if I was happy with the vehicle (the van I reserved was a Transit but I was given a Renault which was larger).I will recommend Sixt Piccadilly branch based on my experience yesterday.
