The place to be.Historical pub. Local brew. Turns you back in time. Value for money. Outdoor tables for smokers. Highly recommended.
Interesting dcor, very old English, nice beer, but the ladies toilets remind me if public ones as they're metal with no toilet lid! Very strange for an old English style pub!
One of my favourite pubs in the city center, a great place to stop by for a post-work drink. The only problem is that it always closes fairly early in the evening.
Fantastic wooden framed house that has survived being dismantled and then moved twice in the last forty years. Now just off Cateaton Street it enjoys an extensive outside drinking area with the next door Wellington. Low ceilings, and plenty of oak paneling and beams tell the history of the age of the place. Lots of drinking space upstairs too. It is a shame it no longer sells cask ales, and that it uses plastic glasses, but still hugely recommended.
SO neat... like stepping back in time. The building is amazing. Great selection of beers...the staff let me taste 4 different ones before I made my choice! The patrons were very friendly, too. Looks like they have a huge outdoor area.
