Very kind neighbours of ours always treat my wife and I to a meal voucher for looking after their pets whilst they are away.. The voucher is always a very well chosen venue. Alston Bar & Beef being our latest. My wife has been vegetarian for the last year and said , I should take my daughter again instead.Alston Bar & Beef is near Manchester Cathedral and you cannot park outside as it is pedestrianised.Tonight my daughter had a steak and I had a beef burger. The staff are amazing from the moment you step in the door. You are lead downstairs into the main restaurant eating area . If you are reading this looking for a dress code, look stylish and comfy. If you worn a full evening gown , no one would bat an eyelid as everyone is different and it's a classy place to dine.The staff are amazing. They allow time if you are not ready ( I wasn't as I kept changing my mind )Water is available to all diners ,they have a great selection of Gins available , sadly I was driving.The food came out freshly cooked and very well presented , I chose a burger as I'd not had one in years. Would I go back again . I definitely think so. Onion rings too .
Had an excellent 3 course meal today. The meal with gin for 18.00 was brilliant value. Really lovely meal, great steak, lovely atmosphere. Very good table service from Olivia; she was friendly and helpful. Matthew was great bar the behind the bar. Had a drink in the secret bar afterwards.I've been to Alston before and will definitely be going again.
I have never had a steak like it in years. We went to Alston on an 18 meal deal which I presumed was a January, get you in, special. Well it certainly was special. Great service from Matthew and a great selection of Gins. Our hostess was Olivia who was training Jack and both of them looked after us so well. If Jack learns from Olivia, he will do well. She was excellent. All under the watchful eye from Paul the General Manager who made us welcome in the secret bar. Superb day. We stayed hours.
Omg the service here is great! Staff are really friendly. Food top. Couldn't fault it. Steak cooked perfectly,. Nicely seasoned. Peppercorn sauce delicious. Snickers cake best thing iv eaten so far this year! Gins nice too
We visited Alston Bar & Beef on an overnight stay while visiting the Christmas markets. We chose this place based on their quality reviews and we where not disappointed.Very classy place with a lovely atmosphere. Service was excellent from the moment we walked in to the minute we left. Food was very good and the selection of drinks completed the food perfectly. We will definitely visit again in the future.
