Customer service and transparency severely lacking at Harry Hall. I asked them if they could swap out my drop shifters for flat bar shifters. They initially said no problem and quoted a reasonable price. Then the price kept creeping up and up. When I asked what parts they were ordering so I could look up the prices online myself they wouldn't tell me. Instead feeding me some spiel about how part of the charge is for them ''doing hours of research to find the right part to fit my bike." In the end they never even bothered contacting me back. The guy who dealt with me was named Steve. I found him to be unreliable and unwilling to be transparent about the cost of products and services.
When I was looking for a new bike in 2007, rather than trying to sell the most expensive bikes to me Harry Hall staff pointed me to a bike they had available that was more in my budget but was also of excellent quality. I ended up with a bike, a Trek 7.6 FX 2007 model that I am still using to this day in 2018.I can go in to Harry Halls and ask about any issues about my bike. They will reasonably tell me what needs doing and why, and tell me the osts associated with it. Sometimes, if it's a small job, they may just do it anyway.
Took my Specialised helmet here to get a replacement under the Specialized Crash Replacement Scheme. They said they wouldn't do it as it was "too much paperwork". Not exactly great customer service.
Amazing service from Simon & super quick too! Took my tyre for a puncture repair, got a new inner tube fitted for (normally) 10 but got a discount for working nearby! Pleased to have been recommended these guys, will use them again!
Nice and friendly bike shop. Bought a brompton from there recently. They've got a lot of them in stock so was able to find one that suited me and avoided the waiting list.Had a bit of an issue being given the wrong bike but managed to sort it out and swap it for the right one after I realised.Good shop.
