Piccadilly is a fairly good station with a pretty good choice of shops, cafes and food outlets.

Really nice station with plenty of amenities including shops, restaurants and toilets. Loads of seats are available before the ticket gates so you can grab a seat before you travel or wait with people who are seeing you off.As a traveller to Manchester I also liked that because piccadilly is a terminal station the platforms are all lined up and easy to get to without having to go over 3 bridges, cross a road, draw a pentacle on the floor and summon a portal to the correct platform.

Bright and clean, a nice way to arrive in Manchester City Centre. I just wish the profit protection staff could be replaced with customer service staff, and make the whole travel experience more positive. Opportunities to improve.

Sometimes you have to pay for the toilets, sometimes not. This does not make sense. Also, I see people jumping over the toilet barriers, or doing that thing where they kind of squeeze a little bit to one side and sidle in that way. The thing is no-ones going to reprimand you for not paying to go to the toilet. Or will they? When nature calls what can we do? Are our excretory needs above the law? Its a grey (read:brown/red) area. Yes, in the 21st century women really should not be charged for having to deal with their period - its just not right. I think if you can you should just jump the barrier. If everyone does it, itll become unenforceable to stop people doing it. I think men should have to pay though

It is one of the biggest train station in UK. Everything is properly managed. You can buy foods tea/coffee at the station itself. Staff are really helpful. Importantly it is pretty easy to find platforms. We didn't had any trouble there.Cheers
