Guitar department very helpful and friendly. Regardless of the price point you just know they only sell quality instruments. That means you can buy in confidence.
Wow..What a place all of the original products. They have 1 floor full of pianos. Really nice staff and very friendly. They will explain everything about the instrument your interested.
Extremely well stocked shop with floors of beautiful instruments. Helpful and knowlagable staff. Prices are competitive considering its city centre location. I didn't buy anything on this occasion but i was well looked after and will return soon to make a big purchase.
A good place to buy an acoustic guitar...Id been wanting to get a decent acoustic for ages. Id been put off other shops by the usual guitar god types showing off their skills, to the point where I was going to risk it and mail order something. I went to Forsyths on the recommendation of a friend. I have to say as a place to buy an acoustic guitar they are great. Plenty of stock from many brands, a great little private practice area to try things out, and best of all knowledgeable, helpful and patient staff. I tried about 5 guitars and settled on one that worked really well for me, which had been suggested by the assistant. It wasnt the most expensive one I tried by a long way, or the one I thought I would buy. Highly recommended.Additional stuff: they have a great guitar setup guy called Glen, Ive put three of mine through him and they play so much better. Also hes not expensive at all
Theres a good range of quality instruments but the staff are far too pushy and one simply cant feel relaxed in that environment. If youre choosing an instrument to work with professionally you need a decent amount of time to decide whether its right for you. I felt that the staff put their salesmanship first and their musicianship second. Obviously its a business and they need to sell to stay solvent, but at the same time music is an art form and clientele need to be treated more respectfully - not just as mindless credulous customers. If the staff were less pushy then this would be a 5 star review.
