Very disappointed. We were very much looking forward to our session and had travelled several miles to get to Manchester. However, our excitement soon faded when two of our party members were refused entry, due to lack of ID. This policy was not explicitly stated in the 'Karaoke' section of K2's website and its wording in the 'Nightclub' section could very easily be misconstrued as applying solely to the nightclub area. Needless to say, the two party members concerned (both of whom were quite visibly over the age of 18) left feeling embarrassed and upset about not being able to enjoy a long awaited night out with friends.
Overall a great experience but DIDNT HAVE FOUNDATIONS BY KATE NASH
My boyfriend and I had a lovely experience at K2. Staff were friendly and helpful, our little karaoke room was cosy, we had Japanese beer and sang away for over an hour. I would recommend this place to people that are looking for a different kind of fun. We will definitely visit again, soon.
I was really looking forward to spending an evening in here for my friends hen party - booked everything weeks in advance, spoke to them twice, got a confirmation email. When we turned up we were all asked for ID (passport or driving licence) only a few of us had it, our ages ranged from late 20s to late 60s - the younger ones had ID, the older ones didn't.At no point were we told we needed ID, not even on the confirmation email. Security staff wouldn't let us in, or speak to anyone. Put a downer on our night.Wished I had booked Tiger Tiger instead.
I went here with a large group from university (20+) and they were able to accommodate us, giving us two rooms (one massive and one small), you basically pay for the time/room and get a drink or two for a deal, which is extremely good (I would recommend not looking at the drinks menu after that, some are extremely costly), they do have more than just Asian songs and I'll definitely recommend this place every time if you want Karaoke
