The best place for decent indie music in town
Great music. Queuing time can get up to 30 minutes. The venue is not really clean and closes too early, resulting in long waiting lines for the cloakroom.

An establishment that should not be open for service. Recommended to ourselves by two Mancunians, myself and my friends went to 42s nightclub in the anticipation that this was one of Manchesters most respected hotspots however this wasnt the case. Upon arrival into the club it was evident that the club was filled with underage drinkers with some brazenly taking Class A drugs on the dance floor. To top matters off the evening was later ruined by two thugs, who felt it necessary to attack a member of our party before then proceeding to push him again outside the club in which the door staff ignored the situation in hand. When another of our party who was an innocent bystander and peace maker tried to re-enter the club after calming the other party down, he was told he could not re-enter the club. The two gentleman from the other party in question also told the door staff he was not involved in the incident yet the laxidical bouncers seemingly did not care.I would not advise this nightclub to anyone who is looking for a night out in Manchester. Not fit for purpose.
Absolutely fantastic club! I'm from Bristol so have high expectations and 42's definitely delivered. DJ Set, drink prices, venue, they were all pretty much unfaultable (I went on a Saturday btw). Be sure to get there early cause the queue was 100+ people long around 11pm, and be on your best behaviour cause the bouncers aren't messing around
