The only museum dedicated to ordinary people, their lives, their work and their struggles to gain political representation. They have a huge collection of research material and very helpful staff. They also keep the galleries fresh with regular additions and temporary exhibitions. In keeping with Manchesters social culture and ethos, I have never known them to charge for temporary exhibitions no matter how large or complex.
Great place to learn about the history of Britain's political past. There are several interactive things on display and you can try on old clothes, hats and caps which are fun to take pictures with.
Nice experience with loads of exhibits and well planned. Interesting bit of history. I especially appreciated the efforts to make it kids friendly with activity bags handed at the entrance and an area for them to draw and keep them busy.Free entrance.
Had been meaning to visit for a while. Pleasant thought provoking two hours, need to go back to spend more time taking in all it has on offer. Staff pleasant and helpful. Cafe on site made good Machiato
Loved this museum. Filled with lots of interesting and interactive exhibits across the centuries. The explanations of the exhibits make you appreciate the efforts of conservationists. It's free entry but I'd strongly recommend a donation so that they can keep the place going.
