Received a letter with a date for my surgery. The letter stated that I should arrive at 7am on the day and not drink anything after 6am. I arrived early and was taken to a room and met with the surgeon and anaesthetist. It is now 14:20, some 7 and a quarter hours later and I'm told that they "think" I'm next and should be another hour. This is supposed to be a private hospital but the service is shocking. I can't understand why I am told to arrive at a specific time so early in the morning to have to go through the stress of waiting on an empty stomach and very dry mouth. I will be sure to escalate my complaints further as I feel the hospital lacks profession and care towards their patients.UPDATE: its now 8 hours, 15 minutes and I'll be seen within the hour. When I asked why it has taken so long, I was told that the list had changed throughout the day which might explain why the guy in the room next to me that arrived hours after me got seen to first. I've been moved from Day Care because it's now closing to another ward.FURTHER UPDATE: It's now 16:13, some 9 and a quarter hours since admission and I've been told to wait another hour! The last time they gave me water was at 09:30 which I had two little sips from. If you are thinking of having private treatments or surgeries booked for the NHS then don't bother with this hospital.
My daughter was referred here as day case. This hospital is absolutely amazing. Was looked after by Carmel who was soo caring and understanding and made us all feel at ease. The whole experience was absolutely brilliant. Dr Thomas was fantastic, explained what would be happening and how the outcome of the procedure. Just wanted to thank them deeply for being so understanding and caring.

The nurses and other staff are absolutely brilliant. I couldn't have asked to be treated any better than they have done today. The team here are lovely and so caring, I'm so thankful for their politeness and kindness.
As a surgeon and patient I found getting through to any department excruciatingly difficult. If I cant get through now what will happen if I was treated and had a problem ? I want to be able to access the professionals and get advice I therefore will not be booking (to be fair to spire I have not experienced any of their care,It may be good or bad ) but i want to be able to contact those looking after me so I will not book as a patient
