Spoke to a lovely girl called reanne in the manchester office today. Really helped me out and put my mind at rest. Great service all round. It is this type of service that separates good companies from bad ones. Cant thank her enough. Great customer service
I'm currently with ensure for home insurance. I called about a possible claim she asked me loads of random questions about it basically to figure out how they could get out of paying out she kept telling me they cover for fire and theft but didn't really go into details about water damage which is what I was calling about. Luckily my NHBC warranty covers it so I don't need to claim this time but I'm worried for if I ever do they will not fork out. Roll on april when its time to renew and I will go with someone else. I will never use ensure for anything again this has been a wake up call for me.
I took a policy with esure as they allow you to make changes on line. But actually you can't you have to phone up and pay an admin fee every time. I knew I was going to change a lot this year and thats why I took it out. It has ended up costing me 100's more than the original quote.
Writing this review @ 1am as Im seriously stressed & not sleeping - maybe its all a mistake but I wont find out until esure open at 9am.In short I opened a letter this evening from Alan MacEwan saying my insurance which started 2 days ago has been cancelled because I made changes whilst getting my quote and this might show Im trying to obtain a cheaper price.The only significant change I made was to see if adding a named driver (who would hardly ever drive the car) would be be too expensive.I remember seeing a case on watchdog (or something similar) where someone had their car insurance cancelled because there car was cloned and this caused every subsequent car insurance quote they received to sky rocket as apparently if your insurance is cancelled by the insurer most insurers will not insure you.Even if this has all been a mistake from esure I am very very disappointed as its genuinely stressed me out - not great from the head of customer services to make a new customer feel that way.
Avoid this shower of shite. Staff and service is beyond terrible. Pay the extra for car insurance and go with a well recommended company, not these clowns.
