I went to buy a loaf of bread and came back home with 3. I would have liked to have tried a pastry and a coffee but there was nowhere to sit. I'll be back at a quieter time. No worries though as I took the bread home and demolished half a loaf as soon as I got home.

Pollen is my go to happy place for some quality rye bread with a delicious coffee. The only problem with Pollen, is that reverting back to a sliced Warburton's loaf will actually cause you physical pain after trying their artisan sourdough. Also, it's dog friendly, so combines carbs and dogs, what more can you really ask for in life. If you're there early enough to try their cinnamon buns fresh out of the oven, prepare to have your life changed for the better.

A lovely airy place filled with the smell of freshly baked bread and coffee. While they don't offer skimmed milk based or decaffeinated coffees the coffee that they do have is great. But come for the giant pastries and other baked goods, and especially for the small plates. This morning we shared an aubergine, olive, capers and hummus caponata on toast, and a Welsh rarebit (with mustard and brown ale) on toast, which were ridiculously delicious. You can buy everything to take away too. A great destination, especially as it's in the New Islington Marina (near Cotton Field Park) which is a nice place to be.

Very rustic and laid back bakery cafe. In house baked goods were really good. Loving the fact they use organic ingredients as much as possible.Bakeries using free range eggs are so hard to come by. Non pretentious straight forward food concept. Good thing the food are delicious. Absolutely love their pastries

Visit: 27 October 2018A great bakery/coffee shop. Arrived just as it opened and there was a queue and by the time we left there was still s queue, the good people of Manchester know good baked goods.Staff were very friendly and efficient and worked hard at keeping everything ticking over on a busy Saturday morning.Food was delicious, I had a delicious plum & vanilla cake, which was vegan friendly, washed down with a pot of breakfast tea. Would definitely return for more.
