Very moving remembrance day service at Southern Cemetery. Lovely to see so many local school children there too to pay their respects.
Location is dead centre of south Manchester, great place for a (very) long rest! :)
I went to the cemetery office today to organize a rose bush for my mum . I went there trying to be strong and actually dreading it . But I was met by the loveliest man who works in there office . He just so got me and and seemed to read my mind for many different reasons . Mums rose bush and plack is all sorted on the same day . I walked away smiling and will never forget this man and how special he was and is . So wish I could remember his name .xx
I went to my father's grave on Sunday fathers day and was disgusted at what I saw. The grass was overgrown and there were weeds everywhere. This is the part of the cemetery where you come from the crematorium then cross the road. The weather as not been too bad over the last few weeks so myself and others could not understand why the graveyard was in such a sorry state. It is sad to think the final resting place of our loved ones is in what looked like an abandoned mess.
As far as visiting goes always seem to come away sad after regularly visiting from being 14 years old THIS has always been the same don't really know why.. No matter what I still visit every Friday..X
